A word about identification:

Please remember to ID your pets. Without proper identification 80% of pets are never reunited with their owners. Municipal dog tags are a must as if your dog ends up in an animal control facility it's the first thing the officers look for. In fact, many officers will just phone you and bring your animal home if they have a tag instead of bringing them to the pound (not a place you want your animal to end up...let me assure you).

Most people don't know it but...many municipalities also sell cat tags which are not mandatory, but are a really great idea!

If you are looking for a personalized ID tag for your animal check with the Animal Rescue Coalition about having one made. Plus, the proceeds go to help orphaned animals. How can you go wrong?

Microchipping is also a good idea...
